When Mary was putting a team together her first thought was how each individual would impact the lives of clients the team works with and how well they would fit into the team. Working as a team is different than working as a group. A team shares a common goal while a group is just a collection of individuals who work together. This last point is important for me as a team is linked by a common goal and sharing accountability, and this is a big difference for clients we work with in real estate. Teams share responsibility for the final outcome and each member of the team contributes to each successful outcome. Every team member's input contributes to better solutions for our clients and while we are all independent professionals we are also interdependent and enjoy working together.
