Welcome to Menlo Park

Menlo Park is in San Mateo County and is one of the best places to live in California. Many families and young professionals live in Menlo Park and residents tend to lean liberal. Menlo Park is located north of Palo Alto and is a sleepy suburban town. It’s got a strong community feel and the downtown is not very exciting. Some of the restaurants have outside dining and there are a number of independently owned shops.

Menlo Park is full of highly educated, well-paid tech employees. Facebook is the top employer and there are many lawyers, doctors and other professionals. The City is where the residents of Atherton go to shop and eat out. There are not a lot of bars, pubs and clubs in Menlo Park but San Francisco and San Jose are both about 30 minutes away by car.

What it lacks in a buzzy scene, however, it more than makes up for with other amenities. There are over a dozen parks throughout Menlo Park offering picnic areas, off-leash areas for dogs, walking paths, playgrounds, tennis courts, skateboard zones, and more. There are also a number of top rated public schools here. Kepler’s bookstore is a favorite hangout spot, and Stanford shopping center is minutes away.

Menlo Park has an irregular boundary that twists and turns around neighboring San Mateo County cities. Housing-wise, there are some apartment complexes and plenty of single family homes and duplexes. Housing is in high demand and expensive. There is a CalTrain station that allows easy access to most of the Bay Area and a shuttle service that connects neighborhoods to downtown Menlo Park and neighboring downtown Palo Alto. If you’re looking for a suburban city that captures the essence of Silicon Valley culture, meshed with an upscale vibe, Menlo Park is definitely the place to be. Menlo Park is also about 30 minutes from San Francisco or San Jose International Airports. We know Menlo Park and look forward to taking you on a tour of this sleepy city so you can decide which area suits you best. Make an appointment with Mary or Robert.
